A new relationship is about to blossom. You will be blessed.
– Yesterday’s fortune cookie.
I’d be happy if any of my current relationships would blossom, even just a little bit.
All-Stars 2010! →
(thanks to socraticsolace for the link)
Since I’m still an NBA newb, I get excited for All-Star Weekend. In fact, I plan my Valentine fesitivities around the events. I’m pretty sure my boyfriend appreciates that, haha.
Quick thoughts on the All-Stars, most of which I’m sure are popular opinions anyway:
I’m really glad Zach Randolph and Gerald Wallace made it in as a...
GS Warriors' Stephen Curry gets some All-Star love →
Even if it’s just the Rookie Challenge, it’s nice to finally see someone in a Warrior uniform representing us in Dallas next month! With the leadership and maturity that Curry shows on the court, he truly is one of the best all-around rookies in the league and should definitely be up for the Rookie of the Year discussion.
I need to know that there is so much more than this right here.

Top 9 Ways to Break Into Sports →
My dream job would be to work with the NBA’s marketing efforts (social media in particular). I think out of all the professional sport leagues, the NBA does the best job when it comes to social media and has always impressed me.
Too bad I’ve wussed out of the few opportunities that have come my way. Hopefully one day I’ll grow the balls to do something about it.

To anyone who was holding on to Blake Griffin... →
It’s time to give up.
Sigh.
Good thing he’s not on any of my fantasy teams. But it is a shame to see this happen to another #1 overall draft pick.

Fantasy Mistake 2010
Saturday, January 2: Proposed trade of Anthony Randolph for Danilo Gallinari
Heavy consideration since I’m good on 3s even without Gallinari and I’m in desperate need of boards and blocks.
Wednesday, January 6: Accept trade
Friday, January 8: Randolph goes down in the first quarter of the game with an apparent ankle injury
Monday, January 11: Roster officially changes. ...

On another note, my boyfriend asked me to set his fantasy team this week and I got through half of them during my lunch break. He had 11 players go today and I ended up benching Gilbert Arenas because I was under the assumption he wasn’t going to be playing. I put in Courtney Lee and an inured Pau Gasol over him.
Yeah, I’m in trouble.

Then a funny thing happened, something that seems to happen only to losing teams...
– Marcus Thompson II from his San Jose Mercury Times article “Deflation in Mile High City” in regards to the Golden State Warrior’s 122-123 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
So very painful to see as a Warrior fan.
20 Tips for a Relaxing Holiday Season
(yes, I know the holidays are over, but this is mostly for me to keep in mind for next year. received this in an Out-of-Office autoreply)
Set the proper expectations Not just with your family, but within yourself. We all have a romanticized notion of the holidays – Thank you Mr. Norman Rockwell – but most of our families are anything but Rockwellian. I suspect even Mr. Rockwell’s family wasn’t...
