On August 24, 2011 in San Francisco, CA, AF3IRM joined the Justice for Filipino American Veterans (JFAV) and the Filipino-American veterans’ widows in demanding justice for WWII veterans and their widows, who have been increasingly denied benefits amidst Medicare and overall budget cuts on state and federal levels, affecting delivery of services and further highlighting the lack of recognition of Filipino WWII veterans and their families.
I was blessed to have the chance to deliver our solidarity statement which you can read at www.af3irm.org.
