In partly NBA but definitely basketball related news, Austin Rivers hits the game-winning buzzer-beater three for Duke, beating their long-time rivals on their home court in Chapel Hill. Needless to say, his dad was pretty happy.
Ever since I started reading John Feinstein’s A March to Madness, my curiosity for college basketball (specifically in the ACC) has increased slightly. A lot has changed since the book was first written (back in 1997) but nice to know a lot of things still remain the same. Over half of the book was about the Duke-North Carolina rivalry and I was looking forward to catching this game. And it didn’t disappoint. I only watched the last 3 minutes and saw Duke come from a 12 point deficit. SHIT WAS MADNESS.
