Booing aside, great to see TMC, Nelly and old warriors honor a great guy.
Getting tired of uneducated and uninformed fans stealing the spotlight and giving teams a bad name.  We get it, you’re mad Monta got traded. How many championships has he taken us too?
Wrong time and place for Warrior “fans” to boo but Lacob had to know that was coming.
Best tweet to sum it up “Don’t grab the mic if your team is under .500”

My two cents: Some Warrior fans are straight-up classless hooligans. I don’t give a fuck if that sounds like I’m stereotyping but it was proven true last night. The people who were booing Lacob (and then attempting to start a chant for Monta Ellis in the middle of the gotdamn ceremony) obviously only cared about getting their bobblehead that they’ll flip for $40 on eBay today.

These booing fans really ruined a special moment, not only for Chris Mullin but also for the other fans who were genuinely excited about the retirement ceremony. There is still a part of me that is still excited about what I witnessed last night, but it’s a shame that the experience is marred by a bunch of drunk idiots who couldn’t shut the fuck up.

And let’s be real Warrior fans—was Monta Ellis really going to be the one to get us a ring? Shut up and get over it.

Got this in my Inbox this morning. Tickets for Phoenix and Minnesota have already been purchased, just gotta find the right deal for Memphis. Can’t Wait!

You may not realize you knew Solomon Kahn, but if you attended a Golden State Warriors game in the past decade, you heard his music. As DJ Solomon, Kahn was the Warriors in-house DJ for over a decade, including the team’s 2007 playoff run. The insane atmosphere inside Oracle Arena for those games was a testament to the passion of the fans - but DJ Solomon was a big factor as well. He also worked for the Giants as one of their in-stadium DJs. All he did was win playoff games! It’s not a coincidence that both venues are renowned for the great fan experience.

Sadly, Kahn passed away this week at age 34, after a taxicab accident in Thailand. He was a prolific and talented musician - and by all accounts a special individual - and the Bay will miss him.

MUST WATCH:  Golden State Warriors - NBA Forever

For all my Warriors followers in the Bay Area and worldwide, reader KJEstrada sent in his version of the NBA Forever campaign, highlighting the history of the Golden Staters.

If you think about it, when was the last time Golden State put a boring team out on the court?  For a small market, that’s a lucky fan base.

No GSW tribute would be complete without a highlight of the Sleepy Floyd Game, and KJ doesn’t disappoint.  Rick, Jamal, Sarunas, Manute, Gil, Baron, Stack Jack, Monta…they’re all here.  It’s enough to make a guy into a Warriors fan.

Enjoy.

@gotem_coach

Definitely makes me want to be a Warriors fan lol

Gave me chills. Warriors may piss me off to no end, but they still have my heart.

That is what a 4th quarter meltdown looks like.

Seriously…the Golden State Warriors broke the remaining pieces of my already broken heart. With less than 2 minutes left, I was sitting there at Oracle Arena with my hands on my head in utter disbelief. I’m a Warrior fan to the death, but that was just a very sorry ending. Where were the defensive rebounds? Why weren’t they taking better care of the ball? Monta and Curry accounted for half of the total team’s turnovers. HALF! The Memphis Grizzles outscored the Warriors 39-22 in the 4th quarter. We were up 68-52 to start the 4th!

I realize I am stating the obvious but I still can’t get over it. I am happy with David Lee’s efforts on the glass though, considering how Marc Gasol was having his way with the Warriors.

On another note—I was quite excited to see my 2 favorite European men on the court at the same time (or at least for the 16 minutes that Andris played). Gasol continues to be the silver lining in my fantasy leagues. Maybe if I wear my Biedrins jersey, he’ll play better. Yeah, I own a Biedrins jersey. I bandwagoned after the playoff run, what can I say.

Nightly Notables!

In the first half, Ish Smith (left) took the reins of the team and gave a great performance both offensively and defensively against the Knicks! This man has great handles and can get into the paint whenever he desires. He seems to be a great pick up for sure. Lets see what else this man can do as the season continues!

  • Scored 11 points
  • Grabbed 6 boards
  • Racked up 2 steals

If he becomes more consistent, he can be a solid guard, giving both Monta and Stephen enough rest to be even more productive when late pushes are required.

Brandon Rush (right). What can I not say about this man. He really stepped up his game to keep the Warriors in the hunt to catch up. I take my hat off to his willingness to keep on going until the play is dead. He never seemed to give up. He played a very smart game and was a force tonight on both ends of the floor. I can’t wait to see who he blocks next!

  • Grabbed 6 rebounds
  • Stole the ball twice
  • Blocked 2 shots!
  • Racked up 19 points!

He is tonight’s electrifying player of the game. Let his numbers do the talking. Nuff said!

Agreed. These two definitely impressed me tonight. Go Dubs!

Warriors have a little fun in training camp with the rookies singing along before their open practice. Then its down to business. Check out Monta’s son, adorable.

Maaaan, I should’ve gone!

@StephenCurry30: Celebrated Lou’s Bday tonight. Grainy pic but you get the point lol

This picture proves that Lou Amundson is big dork. But so nice to see the Warriors hanging out as a team! I see you Andris, looking fine as ever.
